Built for one job: putting your ZIP files back together

ZipCombiner is a desktop app for Mac and Windows that extracts and combines sequential ZIP files into a single, organized folder — no manual unzipping — including the multi-part downloads produced by Google Takeout, Google Drive, and Google Photos, and split archive sequences like zip.001, zip.002.

Effortless ZIP Merging

Combine sequential ZIP archives into one folder with the original structure intact.

Google Drive & Takeout Support

Built specifically to handle the multi-part ZIP exports Google Drive and Takeout produce.

Free Up Space Automatically

Optionally delete the source ZIP files once extraction finishes, so you're not storing everything twice.

How ZipCombiner Works

  1. Drag & drop your ZIP files into the ZipCombiner window.
  2. Choose your extraction mode — treat the files as parts of one large ZIP, or as a set of independent full ZIPs.
  3. Get one combined folder, matching your original structure, with progress shown in real time.

Two Extraction Modes, Because Not All ZIP Sequences Are the Same

Treat as full ZIP(s)

For self-contained ZIP files where folder structures split across multiple complete ZIP files — the format used by Google Takeout, Google Drive, and Google Photos downloads. Each ZIP can be extracted independently.

Look for the number before .zip: takeout-001.zip, takeout-002.zip.

Treat as parts of a single ZIP

For one large file that was split across multiple ZIPs. Individual parts can't be extracted on their own — ZipCombiner rebuilds the original file.

Look for the number after .zip: archive.zip.001, archive.zip.002.

Common Questions

Why did Google Takeout or Google Drive split my download into multiple ZIP files?

Google splits large exports and folder downloads into sequential ZIP files so each individual file stays under its size limit. ZipCombiner reassembles those parts into one folder that matches your original structure.

Does ZipCombiner work on both Mac and Windows?

Yes. ZipCombiner is available on the Mac App Store for Apple Silicon Macs, and on Gumroad for Intel Macs and Windows.

What's the difference between a split ZIP sequence and a full ZIP sequence?

A split sequence (zip.001, zip.002, etc.) is one large file broken into parts that must be rebuilt together. A full ZIP sequence, like Google Takeout exports, contains complete ZIP files that together form one folder structure. ZipCombiner supports both.
